Don’t you…?
Its 1 AM in the morning. This morning we’re leaving Sydney, and I’ll finally be back in my hometown again. It’s strange how much I miss it- its familiarity, my friends, and how you can find your way around easily, and walk from one side of the city to the other. Sydney is not quite like that. I also never really got to visit any vegan places while I was here…But I did manage to go to red eye records, on a suggestion by Kymsauce, and get a smiths shirt (meat is murder album cover), a nightmare before Christmas poster and an Elliot Smith CD. How wonderful. How quaint. I think I’ll play it now after I finish my Saturdays = youth listening.
About an hour ago there were some strange women (and I think a few men, I’m pretty sure I heard their dulcet tones in the hallway but the girls’ were more distinctive) and they were making some and rather disturbing noises. Thankfully it’s over now. I think I’m writing this just to pass the time in between when I’ll actually have to say something meaningful, and live up to the quality of some other blogs I’ve read. Alas, right now I seem at a loss to do so. Nonetheless!
Today, most of the day was spent wandering around the harbor, riding ferries and walking god-awful distances just to see the sights. But it wasn’t all bad, aside from some eager young Asian children attempting to clamber over me as if I was some exciting new part of a play set. We went into this hotel where my parents stayed in September (that was when they left the house to me, around the time when I had my house party and when the downward spiral in some of my most important friendships to take place) and it was kind of amazing. One of the doormen suggested I return in order to use the spa and gym. I gracefully declined though he insisted so I really had no choice but to act enthusiastic. It’s not on my best traits I’m afraid.
For dinner, I made awesome, amazing, and calorie filled vegan nachos, complete with vegan mozzarella and homemade guacamole. It was so delicious, though I only finished half it already gave me the idea for a ‘make your own nachos’ night. It’ll be good. Who’s in? Chances are, if your reading this your one of the people I’d like to invite. Splendid. Let’s have a high tea while we’re at it!
Yours (un)truly,
JXR
